The overall water quality of the mainstream of the Yangtze River in Anhui section was excellent, and the overall water quality of the main tributaries was excellent. The overall water quality of Chaohu Lake area was slightly polluted, and the overall water quality of the main tributaries around the lake was excellent. The overall water quality of the main and tributary streams of the Xin'an River was excellent. The water quantity compliance rate of urban centralized drinking water sources in the province was 99.5%.

Throughout the year, 631 people died in various production safety accidents. The number of deaths per million tons of coal mines was 0.1231. There were 10,813 road traffic accidents.
