Preliminary calculations indicate that the city’s gross domestic product (GDP) reached 480.258 billion yuan in 2024, reflecting a 6.1% year-on-year growth at constant prices. By sector, the primary industry added 43.943 billion yuan, up 2.9%; the secondary industry contributed 208.517 billion yuan, rising 7.0%; and the tertiary industry generated 227.798 billion yuan, increasing 5.9%. The industrial structure was optimized to 9.2:43.4:47.4.
As of late 2024, Heze’s permanent resident population stood at 8.5082 million. Urban permanent residents totaled 4.6489 million, while rural permanent residents numbered 3.8593 million. The urbanization rate climbed to 54.64%, marking a 0.8-percentage-point increase from the previous year.
The annual consumer price index (CPI) edged up 0.1% year-on-year. Breakdowns revealed divergent trends: consumer goods prices rose 0.5%, while service prices declined 0.6%. Grain prices dipped 0.5%, and household goods/services costs fell 0.3%.
