At the end of 2022 and the beginning of 2023, the resident population of the city was 1.0531 million, a decrease of 2,000 compared with the previous year. Among them, the urban population was 694,000, accounting for 65.9% of the total resident population (the urbanization rate of the resident population), an increase of 0.68 percentage points over the previous year. The birth population in the whole year was 72,000, with a birth rate of 6.8‰; the death population was 82,000, with a mortality rate of 7.74‰; and the natural growth rate was -0.94‰.
