- COMPREHENSIVE
According to preliminary calculations, the annual regional GDP reached 4752.69 billion yuan, marking a 5.4% increase from the previous year. The total grain production for the year reached 39.088 million tons, an increase of 989,000 tons from the previous year, marking a 2.6% growth. Specifically, the summer grain production was 15.130 million tons, up 1.0%, and the autumn grain production was 23.958 million tons, up 3.7%.

Among them, 167,740,000 people were enrolled in the basic old-age insurance for enterprise employees (including retirees), an increase of 640,100 from the beginning of the year. 83,323,000 people were enrolled in unemployment insurance, an increase of 180,400 from the beginning of the year. 117,903,000 people were enrolled in work injury insurance, an increase of 255,100 from the beginning of the year, including 48,686,000 migrant workers.
At the end of the year, there were 2,133 social service institutions providing accommodation, with 267,000 beds. There were 430 institutions for supporting people in extreme poverty.
Science, technology and education
Throughout the year, there were 918 provincial-level and above enterprise technology centers, 1,207 technology innovation centers (engineering technology research centers), 408 key laboratories, and 4 Yan Zhao Laboratories. The province implemented 15 national high-tech industrialization projects, including 11 new projects. A total of 24,060 technical contracts were signed, with a total value of 197.14 billion yuan, marking a 10.1% increase from the previous year. The number of newly granted patents reached 97,252, representing a 5.7% increase from the previous year. By the end of the year, the number of valid invention patents had increased to 75,338, up 16.6% from the end of the previous year.
At the end of the year, there were 2,574 inspection and testing institutions, including 23 national-level quality inspection centers and 65 provincial-level quality inspection centers. There were 22 product, system, and service certification bodies, and 3,248 enterprises obtained mandatory product certification. There were 173 statutory metrology verification institutions, with 1,454,100 units (items) of mandatory verification instruments. A total of 183 provincial local standards were formulated or revised. The earthquake monitoring network included 2 networks, 18 manned earthquake stations, 6 marine observation stations, 1 provincial geological environment monitoring station, 25 weather radar observation stations, and 3 satellite cloud image reception stations.
The total enrollment for postgraduate education reached 31,400 students, marking a 4.1% increase from the previous year. The number of postgraduate students in attendance was 91,800, up 5.5%, and the number of graduates was 25,700, up 6.9%. There were 129 regular higher education institutions, which enrolled 592,500 students in undergraduate and vocational programs, a 1.6% increase. The total number of students in these institutions was 1,902,300, up 3.4%, with 514,400 graduates, up 1.1%. Additionally, there were 838,000 students in secondary vocational schools, 1,905,600 in ordinary high schools, 3,434,600 in junior high schools, 6,153,300 in primary schools, and 1,663,800 children in preschool education.
- Culture, tourism, health and sports
By the end of the year, 382 museums and 182 public libraries were registered; 183 cultural centers and 179 comprehensive archives were also registered. The actual number of cable TV subscribers reached 10.78 million, and the actual number of cable digital TV subscribers was 10.68 million. By the end of the year, the comprehensive population coverage rate for radio programs was 99.83%, and for television programs, it was 99.88%. Throughout the year, 11 feature films were produced. A total of 840 million copies of various newspapers and 331.51 million books (including magazines) were published.
The number of domestic tourists reached 937 million, an increase of 11.1% over the previous year, and the revenue (total tourism expenditure) reached 1,114.83 billion yuan, an increase of 10.2% over the previous year.
At the end of the year, there were 93,673 healthcare institutions, including 2,530 hospitals, 1,965 township health centers, 1,681 community health service centers (stations), 184 maternal and child health care centers (stations), and 188 disease prevention and control centers. There were 706,000 health professionals, including 313,000 practicing physicians and assistant physicians, and 307,000 registered nurses. The total number of beds in healthcare institutions was 548,000, with 428,000 in hospitals and 87,000 in township health centers.
During the year, athletes won 15 gold MEDALS, 5 silver MEDALS and 1 bronze MEDALS in international competitions (individual world Championships).
Resources, environment and emergency management
The total supply of state-owned construction land was 30,500 hectares, down 19.1 percent from the previous year. Of this, 8,600 hectares were used for industrial and mining storage, down 15.7 percent; 4,000 hectares were used for real estate, down 23.7 percent; and 17,900 hectares were used for other purposes, down 19.6 percent.
The total water consumption was 18.979 billion cubic meters, an increase of 1.8% over the previous year. Among them, domestic water consumption was 2.909 billion cubic meters, an increase of 3.9%. Water consumption per ten thousand yuan of GDP (2015 price) was 42.7 cubic meters, down 5.7% over the previous year.
A total of 6.38 million mu of afforestation was carried out throughout the year. By the end of the year, there were 41 nature reserves, including 13 national nature reserves and 26 provincial nature reserves. The Cangzhou Nandagang migratory bird habitat was included in the World Natural Heritage List.
A total of 625 people died in work-related accidents.
