About
Cookie Policy
How China Population Atlas uses cookies and local storage, and how you can control them.
This policy explains the cookies and browser storage used by China Population Atlas. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.
Strictly necessary
- cpa_session (cookie): used only after an administrator signs in, to keep the admin session secure.
- cpa_theme (local storage): remembers light/dark theme preference.
- cpa_currency (local storage): remembers CNY/USD preference.
- cpa_consent (local storage): records your privacy choices.
Advertising
If the operator enables Google AdSense, it may set cookies or read identifiers, but only after you accept non-essential cookies. You can reject them without losing access to the site. Advertising partners may process data outside your country under their own safeguards.
Your controls
Use the “Cookie settings” link in the footer to change or withdraw consent. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser; blocking necessary cookies may prevent administrator sign-in. We honour the Global Privacy Control signal where required. For more information about Google cookies, see Google's privacy and terms pages.
Retention
Consent choices are refreshed periodically. Locally stored preferences remain until you clear your browser storage. The admin session cookie expires when the session ends or after the configured lifetime.
This page describes the technical behaviour of the site. The operator must configure a certified consent management platform where required, and must update this policy if new services are added.
