Anqing City, referred to as "Yi" for short, is also known as "Yicheng".

It is a prefecture-level city under the jurisdiction of Anhui Province and is located in the southwestern part of the province.

It borders Huanggang City in Hubei Province to the west, Jiujiang City in Jiangxi Province to the south, Hefei City and Lu'an City to the north, Tongling City to the east, and Chizhou City across the Yangtze River to the south. With a total area of 13,589.99 square kilometers.
