BASIC INFORMATION
Lu'an City, also known as "Gaocheng" or "West Anhui", is a prefecture-level city in Anhui Province located in the western part of the province.
The terrain is high and steep in the southwest and low and flat in the northeast, forming a trapezoidal distribution.
As of February 2023, Lu'an City administers four counties and three districts, namely Huoqiu County, Jinzhai County, Huoshan County, Shucheng County, Jin'an District, Yu'an District, and Yeji District.
Lu'an City is situated in the western part of Anhui Province, straddling the Yangtze River and Huai River. It borders Hefei City, the provincial capital, to the east; Anqing City and the counties of Yingshan and Luotian in Hubei Province to the south; and Shangcheng and Gushi in Henan Province to the west.
