Hebei Province, referred to as "Ji", is a provincial-level administrative region of the People's Republic of China. Its capital city is Shijiazhuang and it is located between 36°05′-42°40′ north latitude and 113°27′-119°50′ east longitude, surrounding the capital city of Beijing.
It is adjacent to and abuts the Bohai Sea in the east and linked to Tianjin City in the east. In the south and southeast, it is connected to Shandong Province and Henan Province. In the west, it borders on Taihang Mountain and is adjacent to Shanxi Province. In the northwest and north, it is adjacent to Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region and in the northeast, it borders on Liaoning Province. It has a total area of 188,800 square kilometers.
