BASIC INFORMATION
The Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, referred to as "Gui", is a provincial administrative region of the People's Republic of China, with its capital city being Nanning.
It is mainly characterized by the distribution of various types of landforms such as mountains, hills, terraces, and plains.
Guangxi is a multi-ethnic autonomous region with the largest population of ethnic minorities in China, accounting for 37.6% of the region's permanent population.
As of 2021, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region is divided into 14 prefecture-level cities, 10 county-level cities, 60 counties (including 12 ethnic autonomous counties), 41 urban districts, 806 towns, 312 townships (including 59 ethnic townships), and 133 sub-districts.
It is located between 104°28′ and 112°04′ east longitude and 20°54′ and 26°24′ north latitude, with the Tropic of Cancer passing through the central region.
Guangxi is located at a low latitude and belongs to the subtropical monsoon climate zone and tropical monsoon climate zone.
