BASIC INFORMATION
Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, referred to as "Inner Mongolia", is a provincial administrative region of China.
It is located in the northern region of China, with its eastern border in Heilongjiang, Jilin, Liaoning, and Hebei provinces, southern border with Shanxi, Shaanxi, and Ningxia, western border with Gansu, and northern border with Russia and Mongolia.
The total area of Inner Mongolia is 1.183 million square kilometers. Inner Mongolia belongs to the temperate continental climate and temperate monsoon climate.
It is subordinated to 9 prefecture-level cities and 3 leagues, with the capital city being Hohhot and the government seat located at No. 1 Chiluochuan Street in Hohhot.
The famous scenic spots include Ejina Populus euphratica forest, Juyan Lake, Hulunbuir grassland, Xiangshan Bay, and Alshan.

As of the end of 2022 and the beginning of 2023, the permanent population of Inner Mongolia was 24.0117 million, an increase of 11,700 over the previous year.
