BASIC INFORMATION

Hunan Province, referred to as "Xiang", is a provincial administrative region of the People's Republic of China, with its capital city being Changsha.

As of May 2021, Hunan Province is divided into 13 prefecture-level cities, 1 autonomous prefecture, with a total area of 211,800 square kilometers. According to the results of the Seventh National Population Census, the resident population of Hunan Province was 66,444,864 as of November 1, 2020 at 00:00.

As of December 31, 2022, Hunan Province is divided into 13 prefecture-level cities, 1 autonomous prefecture, 36 urban districts, 19 county-level cities, 67 counties (including 7 autonomous counties), 422 sub-districts, 1,134 towns, and 388 towns (including 83 ethnic towns). The People's Government of Hunan Province is located at No. Xiangfu West Road, Tianxin District, Changsha City.
